I hate to say it, but maybe the AHA should go to a tiered registration process where all members of clubs helping to put on the event have a week to register for the conference, then open it up to the rest of us.

I would have thought that all the members of the clubs would have been allowed to attend. I'd be real pissed to work hard for a year, and then be told "Oh, you can't go. We sold out."

It would really suck if the local guys hosting the event and the greater local area homebrew clubs that can bring beer to the event for club night were not able to attend because all the non-beer bringing wankers from Europe, Australia, Canada, and non-driving distance Mericans bought all the available tickets.
