Not sure what happened, but what was advertized as an opportunity to choose from 30 different Wet Hop beers, became 14 (a more managable number from a tasting standpoint). Not nearly the participation from the breweries or the attendees as the recent IPA festival. Haven't seen the results from the "Best Beer" contest, but in my mind, the "Wet Arrogant Bastard" from Stone was the best by far (great Chinook nose). MoonLight was well represented with two nice beer, a Casacade and Chinook version, which made a nice comparison. There were a lot of people who liked Magnolia's offering, but I wasn't a fan of this one at all.
If you have an opportunity to tast one of these beers, do it, there are flavors that are unique to this style. Sierra's Harvest Ale is currently being served at Pleasanton's Main Street Brewery (old Cheese Factory).
Faithfully submitted,

P.S. Pisses me off that I let my hops "die on the vine", missing an opportunity to make one myself.
