Apparently the bartender was trying to be funny, and I took it to mean that he was being rude to my wife. Never the less they apologized and made us a generous offer to return.

The intentions of this thread were to promote Mountain Sun and Stout Month. I would never discourage patronage from a local brewery. That being said I have edited some of the harshness out of my previous posts.

Bottom line is that we had a problem, it was address and resolved, quickly. For that I am thankful and I really look forward to visiting the brewery again. I would also encourage others to do the same.

That thought popped into my mind because I kind of remember them being smartasses with us, but you knew it when they did it. That is the problem with being a smartass, sometimes the joke doesn't work. It happens all the time to me, you would think I would learn.

Did they remember the incident?

So the wife and I, and Vanna #2 and her husband all went to Mountain Sun last night for dinner and drinks.

What a great time! The food was excellent, and the beer was great. We had about 5 of their many selections, all of which were very good. The wife finally got a pint of the Coconut Stout that we had initially gone there for.

The Owner, Kevin and the Manager, Tim both came out and talked with us. They were both very apologetic and really cool down to earth guys. They also offered up some very nice compensations.

I have to say they have won my business. Between the great beer and the great food, you can't go wrong. If you ever make it there try the blackened catfish it's to die for!

Oh, and they sent us home with a couple of jars of their wonderful beer! Jars that's right, Jars! How kick ass is that!?

So all in all, I have to say Thanks, Mountain Sun. We had a great time!

Sounds like the best outcome you could hope for. What set a business apart is how they handle complaints. They have set themselves apart - good job Mountain Sun!

Right on Badrock!!

I though they would come through for you. You guys have to make it down here more often. Have you made it out to Twisted Pine yet? Their beers are always good and more times than not great. They also really like homebrewers down there. The brewery is right behind the bar and they are brewing all the time. Check them out if you get a chance.

Glad to hear everything worked out for the best, Cheers

I have been to Twisted Pine. I actually did some temperature control automation for Bob when they expanded last year. He's a good dude and your right they have some great beers. I really like their IPA and Chili Beer.
