Just as a heads-up for anyone of you Minnesota BN'ers out there, the 2012 State Fair Homebrew Comp will be fast approaching, so if you're interested, start planning your entries while there is time. Good luck everybody and remember "Thou shall not bring it weak!" 8)

PRESENTED BY PRIMARY FERMENTERS, BREWERS, AND VINTNERS
Contest Rules:

Registration is required. Entries must be registered via the MHBA website and hand delivered by 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3.

All rules, entry forms and registration information will be handled by The Minnesota Home Brewers
Association. Please visit their website at http://www.mashout.org/mnstatefair. You may also access
their website via the Minnesota State Fair website at http://www.mnstatefair.org.

There is an entry fee of $7 per entry. Only one entry per BJCP subcategory. Entries will only be
accepted from non-professional brewers from Minnesota.

Registered entries must be prepared and packaged per the MHBA guidelines by Friday, Aug. 3 and hand delivered to one of the following three designated drop off locations by 3 p.m. DO NOT bring them to the Minnesota State Fair. The Minnesota State Fair will not accept any beer entries.

If you are shipping your registered entries, they must be packed and shipped per the MHBA guidelines and postmarked by Friday, Aug. 3 to:

Final judging will take place on Saturday, Aug. 25, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at The Minnesota Craft Brewers Stage located on the east side in the Ag-Hort Building.

PLEASE NOTE: This contest is no longer held at the Creative Activities Building.

Looks like I'm at 12 entries. Is anyone doing the Renaissance Festival comp that same weekend? Who's brilliant idea was that? Usually they're a month apart.

If any BNers are there for the awards, let's meet up. I was at the judging, and my cat. 23 scored 38 and didn't place, getting kicked in the mini best of show.
