The Bruery - Cask Autumn Maple

Sun Sep 06, 2009 8:55 pm

Just came back from a two day trip to LA... thought I would hit The Bruery, sooooooo glad I did.

F-me this place produces some OUTSTANDING beers! They just cracked open the Cask Autumn Maple, wow! Get down there and try some, buy a bottle, whatever but get it before it goes adios! :D

Can't wait to get back there real soon, I think I may make a special trip for the release of Black Tuesday.

Awesome! I am sourcing a bottle of this. I love this beer and can't imagine how much better a barrel aged version will be.

On a side note, Patrick is doing a collaboration with our brand new and ass kicking local Tampa brewery, Cigar City. I cannot wait to see what they come up with. Both Wayne (Cigar City) and Patrick (Bruery) are killing it in the beer world!

I did a tasting of the Autumn Maple regular and it was stellar as well.
But, the cask AM is buttery smooth, with tasting notes abound.
I think there is something like 17 or 18lbs of yams used in this beer.
The 750ml was $18. Worth the price? HELL YES.
A 4oz sample was $5.50 ... so a bottle is a great deal considering 25.5 oz in 750ml bottles.
Maybe the ship? All I know is I saw a few cases of a lot of beer being heaved out of the tasting room :D

I hear Black Tuesday is world shattering good from everyone I talked to.
They are having a special release day (on a Tuesday) in October.

Maybe Brewgasm and I can take a day trip??? :D
Hell, maybe the SoCal BN army can meet up there? Mmmmmmmmm....
