Anyone have a Sam Adams Cream Stout clone recipe?

Sun Dec 16, 2007 4:51 pm

I saw a six pack of Sam Adams Cream Stout at the local grocery and had to buy it (I have been on a stout and porter kick lately). I love the smooth and creamy chocolate flavor in this beer... it is the type of stout I have always wanted to brew.

Can anyone help me out?

The website says "Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head."

That recipe will give you a noble-hopped pale ale, not a cream stout.

There is a recipe for it in Beer Captured. I got the book for Christmas and was excited to see it in there!

Sam Adams Cream Stout is a Sweet Stout ala Mackeson's which Sam Adams use to brew under contract.
