JP's Bourbon Oak aged Oat Stout Recipe

Thu Apr 29, 2010 5:24 am

I can't find my copy of Zymurgy with JP's oaked oatmeal stout recipe. I know I had it at one point but, thanks to my incredibly haphazard filing system, it is misplaced. Does anyone have JP's recipe written down?

Thanks. :bnarmy:

Thank, JP. I take back all the bad things I said about you. Today. The stuff from yesterday stands. :bnarmy:

I add one ounce of oak to the fermenter. Another ounce was added to the keg. The beer was always in contact with the oak.

To hit those #s I have it at 5 gallons at 65%. Even if I set my program to 100% efficiency, I'm 10 points off at 10 gallons
