I don't know how you came up with this recipe Bug but it is friggin gooooodd! will definitely make it again, it's a little thin but i'm sure that's my brewing and not your recipe. will tweak that next time. great recipe!

hey Bug, I saw your post on the Cigar City blog. Their Oatmeal Raisin is absolutely amazing. I think their Assistant Brewer, Doug, made up the treatment from the base beer of Maduro Oatmeal Nut Brown. If I am not mistaken, they added spices and raisin. The first time they released it, it was like drinking liquid cookie!

I'll try and see if I can get a bottle of it and send it up to you.

(oh and I made the Tap label for the CCB Oatmeal Cookie, so it has a special place for me :D )

Just made this again...learned a few things in between the first time I brewed this and was able to hit your #'s perfectly. I ended up using half lb of sugar in the raw and 1/2 lb of dark brown sugar. I will let you know how it turns out. Still have a little fermentation activity going on and its currently at 1.016 so I think I'll watch it till it hits 1.011 and cold crash. Thanks again for a great recipe this will be the first homebrew that I've made that my pregnant wife will be able to taste (I started 9 months ago) and she is due on March 6th!

Maybe i'll even toss a little in the baby bottle to get him started right :) (j/k calm down)
