Hey,

Does anyone think that this would make a good grain bill for an IPA?

Chad ramped the recipe (with some hop bill changes) up to IPA strength. I had a taste last night and it was great.

So I'd say yes, if you're looking for good attenuation and solid beer flavor.

Tasty McDole,

Thanks, do you know if he upped the OG to support more IBUs and hop flavor? Also I am cleaning out my spare hops in my freezer so my hop bill is all over the place. I have a 1/2 oz of each of these varities: German Magnum, Colombus, Summit, Cascade, Centennial, Horizon and Fuggle. Does anyone forsee flavor clashes with these hops. I just don't have enough experience yet to tell.

Stay Funky,

Yes, he raised the OG to 1.065 and the IBUs to 60.

The fuggles might be a little out of place but I don't see any real problem including them. For 6 gallons you might try:

9.00 lbs. Pale Malt (2-row)
3.50 lbs. Pilsner
1.00 lbs. Cara-Pils
0.50 lbs. Crystal 40L
0.50 lbs. Wheat Malt

0.50 oz. Magnum 90 min.
0.50 oz. Horizon 60 min.
0.50 oz. Summit 10 min.
0.50 oz. Fuggle 10 min.
0.50 oz. Cascade Dry Hop
0.50 oz. Centennial Dry Hop
0.50 oz. Columbus Dry Hop
yep, yep, yep, yep

+1 for amazing recipe, have never seen people drink a keg so fast at a party, I trhink I will halve the dryhopping next time, could be the aussie hops, was a bit agricultural early on.

Can't wait to make this one ........

But I have to ask, does anyone else hear Tasty's voice in their head when reading his posts or have I just been listening to the Session archives too much?
