I've gotten Oneal's beer and the porter from OregonJ. I'm still waiting for Thirsty's 70/- and Oregon's infected 70/-.

Apex has agreed to send Whitebeard a Belhaven, so we will be using that as our calibration beer since both Mylo and I can get it without any problems.

Everyone should review the style guidelines and have the page for the style open while they are doing the tasting.

Here's a link to a great article written by Gordon Strong from the BJCP Site that was written for Zymurgy:

Apex, I got your beers today (thanks for the 2nd one!).

So now I have all 3 in my tasting group! Wait, are we still doing tasting groups? I'm so confused. Either way I have 3 beers.

On a sidenote, I am really stoked to try this experiment and see how our different independent brewing methods can change the beer! God I love being a beer geek!

Yeah I sent everyone two. It only costs a buck or so more if that and is a little failsafe in the event that one did not make the trip or somehow became infected.

I shipped out some beer to Whitebeard today. I sent out a Bellhaven, a Appalacian Brewing Company Jolly Scot Scottish Ale that is more of an 80/- but worth a try, and one of mine. So you have two calibration beers on the way and well some alcohol in a bottle that may or may not taste good. :)

By the way your tracking number is 1Z 412 71T P2 9502 741 5

I just got home and found Crut's beer(s) waiting for me on the front step. Thanks for including the IPA and Irish Stout (woo woo). Man, I'm such a tool for not sending out extra beers. I may have to get some sent out so I can redeem myself

There is NOTHING like a nice, sweet, cherry blonde, with great body and great head.
