I kegged mine a coupe days ago. Waiting to build my CPF filler to fill some bottles when I tap it.

While kegging I made a bone head move and forgot to take my FG. Would it be all right to pour off a little once tapped, then let sit to release the CO2, let it go flat then check the FG? If not i can probably pull some from the bit thats left from the yeast cake.

Yep, that will work fine. Just don't let it sit for a few days because some of the water and booze will evaporate. You can stir it with a spoon to get the carbonation out.

Yeah, you could just pour it back and forth between a couple of glass to get any caronation out.

I'm kegging on Saturday. My gravity was 1.012 on Sunday and I didn't notice it being overly sweet, but I mashed at 156.

Thanks guys. Ill do that as soon as I tap it and get my CPF done. Right now im working on my MT, for some reason the welder grinded on one end of the copler and scred some of the threads up, and i think some of the heat warped them. This weekend was supposed to be itsmaiden brew, but looks like it will be another couple of batch sparges. No worries though.

Looks like I'm out on this one guys. I was going to brew today, but other stuff took over. I was able to run a batch of PBW through my new sculpture though. It feels like I brewed, but alas no beer

I'll be brewing the 70/- this weekend though. So if you need a late back up let me know.

Ok, looks like I'm back in! Brewed it yesterday on my new sculpture. First brew!!! My OG came out a little high 1.047, and my volume a little low around 4 gallons, the 2 hour boil f-ed me up. But, for a brand new system not too bad. Should have it kegged 3/9 and force carbed/bottled ready to be shipped by 3/15.
