I think we should tweak thirsty's. I don't really feel like doing an american brown.

I'd do either, but I'm leaning toward the Scottish. I just kicked the keg of brown I had a month or so ago. Haven't had a Scottish on tap since this time last year....

I voted to tweak Thirsty's recipe. I think we can drop out some of the hops and bring up the maltiness for a great Brown Ale. I almost always have a brown ale on tap, and my keg just kicked last week. So, I'm due to brew one! My usual recipe has lots o hops in it and I need to bring it down a notch for obvious reasons... I guess my vote is sort of self serving in that way. But, whatever the collective decides on, I'll brew it!

I voted for my recipe because, again, it is easy and cheap (like JP's ideal boyfriend). That and my keg is running low and I need to restock it anyways (it is one of my house beers).

I forgot to mention that for hops you can use UK Goldings also with great results... if you can find UK Goldings.

Both of these recipes are making my work day seems all that much longer. I am itching to brew something new... a new style for me. I haven't made either one.

The only thing that this lowly brewer asks is that we can make something that an extract (with steeping) brewer can do. I'm still confined to the kitchen and haven't gotten my cooler for making partial-mash... yet! If not... that's cool, I'll get in on the next community brew.

I really don't care, I'm good with either style.
