I brewed one and it was pretty close. I think it is missing something, but I think my thermometer was broken and I mashed too low.

Also- be careful with the saffaron... the woman is still wondering what that yellow stain on the counter is!

I brewed this with Ty Ming, the guy who requested the recipe from BYO. He said that Dogfish Head has changed its recipeand this recipe is for the old version. Mine turned out even better than the DFH! He said to use the really good saffron which is like $30 an ounce from an Indian food store. Its kinda expensive to brew but still much cheaper than paying Sam C's prices. ($15/4pack)

Just finished this one myself. In mine the honey flavor came through more than in the commercial version but I'm quite liking it. Almost has a braggot feel to it...
