I brewed a jasmine lager one time. I got mine from teavana and they smelled pretty fragrant as most things do at that store. I threw about 2 oz in the last minute of boil and they ended up imparting a very sweet jasmine smell and a flowery jasmine taste that came as an aftertaste more than with the beer itself. After about 9 months of age in a keg the jasmine was almost completely gone. All in all it was an ok beer, but may have tasted better after the 9 months of age. My last hop addition was about 30 mins and I think about 10 min boil of flowery hop would have worked out much better and gone with the jasmine well. My suggestion would be cascade, centennia like or citra and simco like. Also, I made a fairly pale bitter lager and a maltier character would have really helped this beer out and made a bridge to that aftertaste. I would think some munich and caramunich malts would work.
