star san age

Sat May 21, 2016 9:51 am

I filled a 5 gallon water jug with reverse osmosis water and mixed some star san over a year ago. it is crystal clear still with a pH of close to 3. From what I understand, it is till kicking ass as a sanitizer but half of me just doesn't want to believe that it wouldn't degrade with time. Any input?

star san's effectiveness is due to pH. As long as the pH is still below 3, you are good to go.

+1. And that is a good way to get the most out of your star san (distilled, or even RO water for mixing).
