CO2 Regulator Connections

Thank you for all the replies. I realize now that my poor phrasing of the question lead us down a rabbit hole. My question is not so much about the threads as the requirement for a small spacer or washer between the two piece swivel nut and the nipple coming off the regulator. When I took this regulator apart it appeared there was some type of washer or ring between the nut and regulator but they were too deteriorated to see what the were.

Willys, the picture is at the top of the original post. I am talking about the need for a small washer over the rounded nipple out of the regulator as the swivel nut goes on.

If you are referring to the joint between the tank and the regulator....it depends....being as old as that regulator looks, I would say yes, and where ever you get your tank filled should have them. Should be a small plastic ring, my old setup used them, my new one doesn't.

I bought a similar set up but was never able to find the right size nuts for the three male outlets. any help on finding the right swivel nuts?

Those should be a standard 1/4" MFL fitting.

You could replace the flare fittings with hose barb fittings on the regulator. Should be easy to find at local home improvement store.
