Don't remember if I've posted this before, but it's my favorite gadget and so simple.

I use a milk jug as a blowoff. I poke some holes in the top with a nail and it becomes a giant airlock. The hose that goes in the carboy fits perfectly in it. Nice and tight.

It stops the kids and dogs from kicking over a bowl and I just leave it on for the whole primary. Kinda simple, but it works.

Very neat, and I like the integrated switch.

Do you leave the cover off to run it? Seems like it would overheat running in that enclosed space.
What's on tap: Cream Ale, Imperial Blonde
Secondary: British Amber,
Primary: APA

:? That's what I was thinking? I guess it doesn't run for all that long, so it might be OK. I would at least check to see how hot it gets though.

This is my "brew system line flusher". After a brew day, I backflush all the lines with water until they run clear, and then hook this up. The white end goes to the outlet of my brew system and the metal end goes to a gas QD. Then I just turn on the CO2 and blow all the liquid out of my lines. This not only gets the liquid out, but fills the lines with CO2 to discourage bacteria...

Not really a "gadget" per se, but a drywall mud mixer makes a hell of a mash paddle. Ain't no clumps once I'm finished....

One of my favorites is this spunding valve that lets me naturally carbonate two kegs at a time without adding priming sugar.
