Was that your idea about using White Labs tubes in chest freezers? I just did that on both my temp controllers. I'm still trying to decide if I like it better than taping the probe to the carboy. I can see immediate value in the keg cooler though.

BTW, the bit needs to be 3/8" to fit perfectly for the analog Johnson controllers.

I thought I read somewhere that someone was doing this, but filling the vial with the gel from the gel-packs that come with yeast.

Or did I dream that? Maybe I was drunk. Maybe it was a drunken dream?
