Old Vials

Sun Apr 15, 2007 3:00 pm

I've become somewhat of a tree-hugger about recycling, so I'm trying to figure out what to do with the plastic vials from White Labs. It sure seems like there ought to be some use for them ...

There is.

Store them up and exchange them in with White Labs for schwag.

I imagine that White Labs then re-uses them.

I'm still saving up for Chris to come brew at my house, I should have enough vials about 2065.

Put a bunch of live bees in there and give it to the wife for a present.

I have been saving mine too to make Chris come brew with me and cringe at the protein layer built up on all my gear.

From what I saw on the White Labs site sending them back isn't quite recycling, since you can save postage and just send them the labels -- though I have also heard that these are actually the blanks that eventually become soda bottles (if they don't become WL vials), so they are a recyclable plastic. Listening to more of the archives I realzie I left off a poll option ... "Stash my serum for rufieing Justin".

I'm storing them up until I get enough to have Chris White brew with me.
