Help with kettle size please

Well I might be able to snag an 80 quart stock pot on the cheap but before I do I want to consult you guys about something. I have the super efficient immersion chiller that b3 sells and I'm a little worried if it's too small for this pot. I'd be doing 7 gallons boils to end up with roughly 5 gallons of finished product (after trub and loss while transferring). The pot is 17" deep and 20" wide. Will the coils be submerged if I stick my IC in there with around 6 gallons of wort in there? Yeah I know 80 quarts is overkill but whatever, I'll have the option of doing 10gal batches and this thing is CHEAP. Thanks for the help.

buy it, you can kinda "squish" the IC down a bit if you need to submerge it better.

I'm with Bub..I would NEVER pass up the golden opportuntity to pick up a 80 quart brewing beauty!! What a goody!! I'm sure you'll find a way to make it work...I would.

Well unfortunately as ebay will be ebay, the price rose out of my price range before the end of the auction. It's still a great deal but I wasn't willing to spend that much on it. But there's light at the end of the tunnel, the reason I couldn't afford the kettle at its current price is because I'm buying some sacks of grain. So it's not all bad
