Grain Roaster on the cheap

Tue Nov 07, 2006 11:19 am

I was talking with grapeape about inexpensive equipment and figured I might as put it out for all. I built a very functional grain roaster out of an old gas grill I got my inspiration from a web site dedicated to coffee roasting. I used an old propane grill so needless to say lots of power washing and elbow grease was required to get it clean enough to use. The roasting drum is made from sheet metal ends with threaded rods for a frame covered with metal mesh this is mounted to an electric rotisserie. The picture is from the coffee web site I copied it for reference when I built mine I will try and find the Url and get it posted.

Never thought about it, I'm sure it would make me more money than trying to sell beer, but if I cross the bridge I would need to add 20% to my price lol.
Cheers Mike
