Plate Chiller question

Tue Mar 11, 2014 8:41 am

I found this listed on craigslist for $80.00 advertised as never used and new in the box.
Manufacturer:
Bell Gossett
Copper, ASTM 316L Stainless Steel
Brazed Plate
30 Plates, 0.0076 Gal/Chnl
3/4" MNPT
Height 8.2"
Length 2.83"
Width 3.18"

Will this work for a wort chiller or should I look elsewhere.

Thanks Matt

Take a look at this one. I bought mine on Ebay for that price. This one has integrated barb fittings for the beer I/O and garden hose fittings for the water I/O. $84.95. FYI.

If you can talk down the other seller go with them.

I bought mine from eBay as well, I got a 40 plate chiller with garden i/o and 1/2 npt i/o. I use brass quick connects for the garden hose so I can pop it off start cleaning with ease. I payed like 95 for it but had free shipping and handling. I have used this thing for around 50 batches so far, its the best thing I have bought so far!
