any ideas of refractometers or hydrometers that go above 32 brix/1.125? i found a 90 brix refract on ebay for maple syrup makers but it costs $100. didn't someone make something more reasonable at one time?

One thought & it's cheap. Precisely measure the sample, dilute with the exact same volume of 1.000 water & multiply the reading. I would highly recommend doing this with a hydrometer sample & not a refract for accuracy. If the refract is reading off, the error will be multiplied as well.
