Equipment storage

Fri Oct 19, 2012 6:07 am

I am interested in good ways to store my equipment when it's not in use. I'm using big Rubbermaid bins stuffed in the corner of the room right now, but they aren't the prettiest option. The key input here is that I want something that doesn't make the wife cringe every time she looks at it. I know some of you are pretty clever and have been doing this awhile, and some of you even still have wives! So let's hear what you've got!
Fermenting: English Mild

Get a Bedazzlerâ„¢ and put some plastic rhinestones on those bins.

Build a brew sculpture... Then it will be art when it is not in use :-)

I tell her "thats my garage, if you don't like it, don't go in there" :D

she likes the beer and I do more cleaning than she does so we don't have issues in this department

anywhere thats low on dust and convenient (out of the way but easy to access) is good if you ask me...scrounged cabinets (or new cheap ones) work good and you can hang them on the wall so that they're up and out of the way...if you have the room use floor cabinets and you can put a work surface on top or even a sink
On Deck: porter, berliner weisse
Fermenting: xtra pale
In the keg/bottle: golden delicious apple cider, brown rice lager, german pils

Dig out the sewing machine and sew up a slip cover like you might use for a chair or sofa. Check with the wife on a color and pattern that she would find acceptable and make one to fit over the totes. If you don't sew, bribe her to do it for you in exchange for something really nice like a session at the spa or dinner at a really nice restaurant.
