Oxygenating

Wed Sep 12, 2012 5:53 am

I would like to start using oxygen instead of aerating with an aquarium pump. I would like something with a little more control than the tiny canisters from home depot etc... Any suggestions? I thought about medical oxygen with a flowmeter but not sure how to get that type of setup.

I think I have heard Jamil say he has bought medical oxygen tanks on ebay...I have not looked but I'm sure theyre on there...I noticed Northern Brewer is carrying an oxygen regulator now...kink of pricey...Harbor freight also carries what appears to be the same regulator for about $35 and a 20 cubic foot tank for $90

Hope this helps

Also check your local welding supply store. I fill my CO2 tanks there & mine also carries nitrogen & oxygen. They'll even blend Nitro & CO2 (aka beer gas) to any (whole) percentages I request (ie 73%/27% is fine, but not 72.5%/27.5%)
