PEX Tubing

Anyone have any experience using PEX tubing from Lowe's in a HERMS system? It says it is fine with typical mash temps. In some quick experiments I did with water today (up to 170F), it seems to work well with no air infiltration or water leaks. Wasn't sure though, how long the quick connectors hold up and stay water/air tight.

don't have much experience with a nice complex system like yours but i do build new houses for a living and have plenty of experience with PEX and the associated connectors. we stick it in the walls and ceilings, behind drywall, and everywhere copper can go and don't have to worry about the longevity of the connections. domestic water heaters can easily push water that exceeds 150 (if you dial it in to do so) and i would imagine the local plumbing codes have to employ a decent factor of safety making PEX a nice option. check the manufacturer specs and you should be rollin'
