HELP! - New Ranco 2 stage controller not working

I set up my new keggerator today and I'm using my old single stage controller for it. I've bought a new Ranco 2 stage digital controller for my fermentating fridge and can't get it to work. It is coming on and the display seems to be as the manual says it will be. I've tried everything I can think of but the fridge doesn't get power. The fridge works when it's pluged directly into the outlet, so it's a problem in the controller. Any thoughts?

This kind of thing has happened to me, and it always ended up being a simple fix.

First: Did you wire it yourself? If you did double check that.

Also try adjusting the differential. if its +/- 5 and set for 65 F, the fridge won't come on until it hits 71 F (Cooling) and the same would run true with the heating.

I don't have a 2 stage, I use multiple 1 stages. But have you tried both plugs? Its my understanding that one plug will be heating and one for cooling. I don't mean to insult, but I know I do things like this all the time

Thanks for the reply. It came wired and I never got it working. Took it back to the homebrew shop yesterday and they couldn't make it work either, so it must be defective. The didn't have a replacement 2-stage, so switched it for a one stage and got some extra stuff. Little bummed about that, but with electronics sometimes it's better to have multiple, less expensive devices than single expensive ones.
