Where do I get legal kegs for brewing?

Thu Sep 10, 2009 9:38 am

I was wondering where the best place to get some kegs for HLT, mashtun and boil kettle, I don't want to steal them or any kind of asshatery, I heard you can get into trouble for using "illegal" kegs, I would like to buy some legal kegs where do I go?

I picked up six from a local brewery. All will hold water, but were generally damaged around the Barnes neck, which I'm going to cut away. Another local brewery also told me they would sell them to me for scrap price, which is running around $25 each these days.
Aging: Gotlandsdrickå, Baltic Porter in Bourbon barrel, Olde Ale #2 in whiskey barrel
On Draft: Nothing. Building a walk-in cooler right now.

Ask your local craftbrewer. Volunteer to help out and you may even get one (or two) for free.
