aerating wort

so I got a coleman air matress as a gift, my sister was thinking that someone might actually want to visit me, the question I have is can I use the air pump to aerate my wort? do i just need to rig a hepa filter to it? with a filter will that be sufficient to aerate the wort for a minute or two?

You'll need a filter and some sort of aerating stone.

and its gonna take longer than 2 minutes with air

Yep. Filter, tubing, and a stone (maybe .5 mic.) I used an aquarium pump for several batches. ABout 30 minutes. Not too bad if you clean up, etc, while it's aerating. Do you have any way to control the airflow?

thanks all, BigNasty there is no way to control the air flow, you just plug it in and it starts pumping, does it matter how fast the air is being pumped? so 30 min works with this type of set up? so I am gathering that a filter, tubing and a stone should do it?

i don't think it really matters, and you can't over-oxygenate with air so probably just go with 30 min
