Henning and Bub, thanks for the update. I'm thinking, that for the time being, I can use my Johnson Controller with the little cup of water. Once this new controller comes out I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for all the info and I am off to Lowe's tomorrow for a new Freezer!!!

anyone know the latest on the brewdroid? Im going to need a temp control in the next month or so. Is it close enough that I should hold out a little longer? What about a rough price range?

I would be all over the brewdroid if it's priced the same (or within range) of a dual-Ranco (unwired since I wire them myself.) I'm planning on building a fermentatrion closet this summer for winter (which runs October -April around here) and will need a new dual controller for it.

For the original question, I run Johnson controllers for my keggertor (two kegs in the fridge hold the temp pretty steady) and a Ranco with 1 degree swings for fermentation. I personally wouldn't want a 3F swing for fermentati0on.

I don't know anything official but here is what the rumor is....
Production models sometime in the summer, last I heard anyway.
Cost should be in the 100-150 range, I have not heard anything official so this is only my guess.

The only rumor I have heard about that brewdroid is that to be patient.
I think when it does come avalible to the public it will be the "must have "
next to the how to brew and Brewing classic styles.

I want to be a beta tester. If this will let me get rid of my PID's I'm in.

all the beta testers have been chosen to the best of my knowledge, sorry, but you could always check out www.brewdroid.com and see what they have to say.

The 100-150 price range sounds way low to me, given what this will do.
