I feel sorry you folks with the nasty water. Our water is so clean they don't need to add chlorine or choramines to it. On the other hand it is so hard you practically need to brush your teeth with Lime-A-Way.

Well Currently I am buying bottled spring water... and you know that is about 7 bucks a brew for water... If I buy this I would make it back fast... I would probably also buy it's own dedicated hose and the RV hose is a good idea...

But I think that I am leaning toward this as a fix for my water costs right now. We are working on flipping our house, but I have already told the wife that I would like the next house to have a whole house filtration system.

im just saying you can get the same water filter at menards for 20 buks. it has hook ups on both sides for hoses. its called a whole house water filter. works great.

Not sure what they do over in the US but chlorine and ammonia is added to keep the water sweet between the the treatment plant and the consumer. It's always clean once it leaves the treatment plant or at least it should be.

that's a great filter. i've been using one for a while now. +1 for a slow fill. you need the contact time.

added bonus...if you ever get a wild hair up your ass and decide you need to filter your beer, the filter cartridges fit the water filter housing. just swap em out and go....
