Thats fantastic..what did you use to form that?

I wrapped it around a 2.5 gal corny (because it was a little wider than a 5). But I'm sure a 5 gal would work fine. The trick is to only tighten the coil from its original.

Yea man, that looks great. I made mine while brewing. I thought it would be much more easy than it was. Mine looks likea big ball of knotted up copper tube.

I thought about that - but quickly dismissed it. There is enough space between the coils for liquid to pass through. I'm actually hoping to contain most of the hot and cold break and spent hops inside the coil, since I draw from the outside.

That' what that third pipe up top is for. You can see it at a 30* angle on the inside of the coil.

I have 50' of 3/8 and I'm about to attempt one. I'm not going all out with the whirlpool piece as I don't have/use a pump <yet>, but was confused by your last comment about bending/tightening.

Can you enlighten us on how one crafts such a fine piece of brewing equipment? Awesome job btw, that thing is rad!
