Does that copper provide the whirpool or is that where you draw from?

From what I understand it does both. Recirc thru the copper tubing to achieve whirlpool , settling the trub , then siphoning from the side of the kettle with the copper tubing. I could be wrong.

That's pretty sweet. If you're using that tube to create the whirlpool, what do you use to draw out the wort? Another copper tub attached to your immersion chiller maybe? Sort of like Jamil's, but backwords? Looks like it works really well....

Nope, me and Greg just do the good ol' stir it real fast to get the stuff to settle in the middle. Greg uses a flat bottom kettle and I use a keggle, and both seem to work really well. Please note that I only use pellet hops, and I think Greg does too...

I use a stainless steel mesh from a water heater connector line. It works great and I don't have any hop material coming through that I can see. Pretty clear beers too. I've never had a problem with clogging, but I grow my own hops and use whole hops. My club grows different varieties and we share.

I've used pellet hops for bittering hops on beers that I abosolutly had to know the AA's on, and I haven't had a problem with clogging, but I've never done a batch with all pellets in it. I like filtering the break through a hop bed.
