We use "Snoop" in the GC lab to check for gas leaks. Basically it's diluted soap in a squeeze bottle. I made my own using a empty windex bottle, water, and about a tsp of dish soap.

The "normal," foaming StarSan works too. Sanitizer also has the benefit of not being soap which would require rinsing or could potentially leave residue.

don't use it as a no-rinse snoop on brass unless you want to accelerate corrosion.

I've used Snoop, soap and starsan. Starsan doesn't work very well. Soap works well if you get the ratio right. Snoop works better than any soap solution I've been able to come up with.

Nice work! I came home to the same thing a few months ago - there was about 5 pints left in the keg and I wanted some not having any bottles on hand. I hooked up a 1/2" tube and put my mouth on the other end and blew has hard as I could until it filled up my pint glass. I don't recommend this method at all as I almost blew out a bunch of blood vessels in my brain. No seriously, don't do that no matter how desperate you are. I was almost done and my physician assistant wife walks in and tells me that i could blow blood vessels in my brain. I was nervous the whole night, but it was a good pint. :aaron

freaky....that would have had me worried too. Since that beer would go to shit the next day, why not just unlatch the top and pour into a pitcher as gently as you can?
