Radio Shack has some real tiny ones. You can order them from many places online though.

I got my rare earth magnets from cynmar, 2 for $3.50. Shipping was around $9 IIRC, so you may want to order something else to make it worth it.

You can also get loads of variety from rare-earth-magnets.com, the disc ones are around $9 for a pack of 40 with $7 shipping.

There is a store in a town near by. There is also a HB shop there that I have not been to yet. Sounds like a road trip.

And I was going to rip open an old hard drive, but only $1.99? Now I must weigh the value of my time vs. the fun of ripping something apart.

Well I got new rare earth magnets, Ace Hardware 3 for $5. Glued on a washer. Works great now. I can't even spin off the 2 inch bar. Thanks guys :jnj
Ace also had a outlet thermostat for $45. Picked it up for my ferm. cabinet. The probe is a little short, make your own jokes. For $45 I can make it work.
