Heres a picture of my grain mill. I used a direct drive motor with the spider coupler connecting them.

What about this motor...

It runs at 50 RPM which is about the speed this Texan cranks the grain now.

I think it will be fine - it's just going to take more time. You guys from TX have plenty of that, don't you? :D

Oh, and TimX... I have been searching for a motor like the one that you have. I think you can put the output shaft of the other side, and therefore solve your dilemma with the direct drive (and make yours look more like SunkenBier's).

Alright... I might need some help from the electrical wiz kids here...

I just bought this Bodine motor on eBay. I really can't tell how I'm supposed to hook it up and/or if a capacitor is needed. Can you guys take a look at this and tell me if I just wasted my money? I'm pretty sure that I can hook it up and make some smoke...

Looks like you need to figure out if it is truly DC voltage. The tag says "Hz: DC," to be compatible with your 120VAC power available in your house it should say Hz: 60. I would figure that out first!

That's a 115V DC motor which requires an external power supply to drive it... Sounds like it's time to do some additional ebay shopping!

That's what it looks like Big Tex, but 115VDC is a very uncommon voltage. Most small DC motors are 90VDC.

If that's the case here is a decent used drive. I use these a lot in chemical feed panels at work. There a real good product.
