Fermenting while camping?!?

Just how long are your camping trips?

Here's my idea for a continuous diverter instead of a plate welded at the spiggot. I just pounded a copper pipe down and clamped the ends together. I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping it will help keep the trub and hops off the hose.

In the whirpool vessel at work, there is a ring just like that one, trub whirpools into the middle and wort is drawn off the edge.

You have pretty much done a spot on replication of a commercial whirlpool vessel, nice!! One just like it will be going in my kettle next brew. Thanks.

Here's my gadget contribution. A CP fillier whipped up from a few irrigation fittings and some picnic taps. The grey fittings are John Guest pushfit connectors for the 8mm OD line I use for beer and gas. Most of these bits serve dual purposes in my brew/serve set up. The dedicated bits cost me about $4. The stainless tube is 10mm OD and you can use 10mmOD beer line instead.
