I just stick all the bottles in my dishwasher, put PBW in the soap trays and then let'r go through a cycle. Sanitize before bottling and there ya go.

Holy Crap! I used PBW for the first time for cleaning the labels off of used bottles. I soaked them for a number of hours and the labels COMPLETELY came off. No residue left on them at all. I could never have gotten them that clean myself. From now on I am using PBW for my bottles. So awesome.

Depends on the label and the glue used... most paper/mass produced stuff comes off easy.

I would give a millyun dollars to anyone that can tell me how to get heineken labels off!!

Same as above...soak in bucket of PBW and labels come right off, no residue. The only bottles I have trouble with ( leftover residue ) are the Dogfish Head bottles.

My bottle washer. I hook it up to a keg with sanitizer at 15 PSI and a 2 foot section of tubing . So as soon as my bottles come out of PBW Im blasting them

I just use dish washing detergent to get labels off. Just soak in a bucket with hot water and a scoop of the cheap stuff 15-30 minutes and you are good to go.

+1 on the vinegar or Star-San after soaking the bottles.
You need an acid to get that film off. A good vinegar douche would do it. Make sure you use distilled vinegar with no 'mother' or you will infect your beers wth an acetobacter.

I've had good luck with Straight A and Oxy not leaving any residues. Usually takes a 15-20 minutes soak. Has anyone had any experiance trying to get Highland labels off? Or the sticky crud they leave behind? None of the oxygen based cleaners or soaps I have used will even touch them.
