This is what I use, most of the time. Works great!

I also use this from time to time. Works just as well.

They will be stamped on the name plate with the rated RPM. Mine are both 600 RPM in low, so you got to throttle back just a bit. And face it, your making beer, an RPM or two above or below isn't going to mean the difference between gold and silver.

I run my mill about 290 rpm. I was shooting about 250 but was limited my the size of the pulley I could find at the time. Like BadRock said though, it's not going to make the difference between a gold or silver beer.

That is the exact one that I have too and it works just fine. I usually do 3 different 10 gallon batches on brew day so I am crushing around 75-100lbs. I usually use one battery and most of another.

12 V Porter Cable cordless needs to switch to second battery for 13 lb crush. I had to go cordless when our power was out for 4 days, and I realized the only thing stopping me from brewing an ale was crushing the grain.

I use a cheap-o corded drill from Harbor Freight. Sure, I've smoked it a couple of times, but shit, it was only $12. I have my cordless Craftsman drill as a backup.

Did they have cordless drills in 1980? I have a B&D cordless that's a few years old and it will mill about a pound with my BC before it dies. It's basically a glorified cordless screwdriver. I bought a cheap corded (Rigid I think) from HD to use with my BC.
