Thanks Mylo, I thought as much. Probably good reason to go whole Hops.

I second the pump idea. I use a plate chiller and I recirculate for about 5 -7 minutes then start sending it to the fermeneter. Even in summer, I'm at 75f in under 10 minutes. Without the pump it took forever. But even though I'm further south, my water is cooler than 70 even in the summer. The source is surface water too.. hmm.. Winter brewing gets the wort to lager temps in 10-15 minutes.. Again.. the pump is the key.

Heat Exchanger equations are logarithmic, doubling and halving do not work. FYI.
