Same cooler but on sale for $25. Great soft handle and a couple storage spots on the lid that can be use for holding hops or additives while brewing. Just need to install the valve and SS braided line and we're off. I can't wait to brew on it this week.

Nice! Even has a couple of cupholders to hold the homebrew that you are obviously drinking while brewing.... 8)

Some pizzics:
Top with storage, and cup holders

Stats and new valve. Had to drill drain myself, some reason this style cooler didnt have one.

stainless braid-works like a charm-swiped from my old MT

The new pickup tube in the BK. Soldered everything but the 90* so its removable. Just wrap a few layers of teflon tape and shes good to go.

Supposed to test it all out wednesday if all goes well.

Don't mean to burglarize the thread but does anybody have any suggestions or a parts list for a ball valve cooler setup? I have a cooler with a one inch hole on the outer layer and a 7/8 inch on the interior. I have a stainless ball valve and and would like to assemble one with it rather than buying a kit.
I've tried a few things but keep getting a little leaking and think my nipple may have to large of an unthreaded spot between threaded ends to work.

New tun is the same one I use minus the cup holders, been using mine for 15 10 gallon batchs it has held up.

little leaking and think my nipple may have to large of an unthreaded spot

Get 2 SS washers that fit the shank of you ball valve. Cut some gaskets same diameter as washers from a silicone baking sheet (good to 600 F). if you have a void fill it with RTV (also good to 600 F) assemble but don't over torque things. Mash should not come into contact with RTV but if it bothers you try food grade silicone instead
A man has ony 2 things in life his word and his balls or is that 3 things??

Hey cguntziller.

What have you done to the dip tube in your kettle. Did you drill holes on the bottom or did you just pinch the end of the dip tube. I want to do something different with my kettle.
Is that a half barrel kettle?
