Shout out to Manufacturers Edge (Chugger Pumps)

Mon Jun 22, 2015 10:34 am

Brewed my annual homegrown hop IPA and decided to try my new whirpool setup with whole hops... Hops found their way into my pump and broke a couple blades off the impeller.

I searched all over the internet for just the impeller, but could only find the kit with the entire head. I just called the guys at Chugger Pumps and they are sending me a new impeller for free! Awesome customer service.

sounds like you need to make yourself a hop taco to prevent future damage ... SS screan folded in half around a dip tube to prevent hop bits from entering the pump.

Yeah, that pretty much ruined my seasonal wet hop ale! I have a S/S screen on the way... I ordered a hop stopper.
