Rusty Roller

Tue Jun 16, 2009 5:04 am

HI Peoples. I brought a Barley Crusher about 9 months ago and i think the rollers are starting to rust. They have a couple of half inch spots on each roller.
Is their anything i can do to stop the rust and is it safe to use?

It is safe to use get some oil for oiling butcher blocks. Oil your roller then get a couple pounds of sacraficial grain. Cheaper the better and just run that through the mill to clean the rust and oil off the rollers then throw the oily grain away.
