Thanks Matt. I actually thought the grains looked fairly small. I'm using Rahr Malt and this brew was 2-Row, Munich, crystal 40 and crystal 15.

Maybe I sparged too quickly. I am batch sparging with a braid but I may start fly sparging. I have a false bottom that I haven't used yet.

hmm is it just me or are the kernels of the crystals and roast malts a bit smaller what with evaporation of moisture and all? yeah well, give some malt a crush and pick up a handful, your eyes and fingers will be a good judge. And remember... feeler gauges! :)
