Three lock box...

Too bad he went on to become a second-rate replacement for a band that should have called it quits when their soul left.

Or just fill your airlock with starsan. Even if your airlock is sucked dry, that amount of starsan won't affect the beer at all.

thanks for everyone's reply on this matter.

I just finished my first 5 gal batch (Mild Ale Kit from NB, Partial boil) I hit my mark of 1.035 OG. now to see if rest of it comes out like it is suppose to :).

I do have a few more questions but I will do some research before I ask them, to make sure they have not already been asked.

thanks again!!

Three piece airlock? I just use two pieces and pitch that useless cap into the junk drawer. (Don't we all keep our junk in our drawers? )

On top of that I also just use Star San in the airlock because I always have that handy when I brew.

I use vodka filled to the line of my 3 piece. I like to use a one piece for liquid that is cooling, like the water half of my extract brews. It lets the vapor escape, then it lets air back in only after passing through the liquid "filter".
