Around New Years, after I had accumulated all the electronics, I was looking for a metal box I could make water proof to house everything. Hammond project boxes were just too damn pricy, and I suck at metal working. The best deal I found on a used project box cost more than my temp. controller, SSR, thermocouple, lights, and switches combined.
Soooo....I was digging around in the gun closet and picked up a box of 7.62 and it hit me like a freight train: here was the perfect control box. Large space to mount everything, sealable lid, watertight, and it has style. I think it's perfect for the BN Army, and you can pick these up for about three bucks surplus.Anyhow... the kettle is finished too, with the exception of two couplings needing some welding. So I'm planning on brewing with my new 5500 watt kettle this weekend at the cost of $0.50 per hour. Hell yeah!
PS the left switch controls the pump which plugs in to the back.
(heh heh... I said "plugs into the back")
