Motorized Carbonator

Mon Mar 16, 2009 3:14 pm

I have recently acquired a free motorized carbonator along with some 20lb co2 tanks. Is there anything I can do with this carbonator in my brewing process?

I haven't read much on what other uses these have.

Maybe do like what a siebel class taught, and what big brewers do, and make a smaller high gravity brew...then dilute later with deoxygenated carbonated water.

I remember in an epidose, tasty said he had done something like this with a light lager maybe?

So why do this? Hell I don't know...my teacher said it made for better tasting beers...or to use a free piece of equipment..maybe free up space in the fermentation chamber with more smaller vessels.

Any ideas will help.
Thanks,
John

I think you might be out of the realm of 99.99% of homebrewers with that question. If anybody has used one in homebrewing - it'd be Doc.

Good luck.
