I really like my shaker. It could accommodate a 5L flask, or in fact, any container or combination of them.

If you use the Malto Goya method, you don't even need borosilicate. All you need is a container you can sanitize that you can put a top on.

Have you tried messing with your stirplate a bit? You can stack magnets to vastly improve their power.

I lowered my stirplate platform to get a better pull from the magnets,and that allowed me to get a good stir on 5L.

Well... I decided not to build the monster stationary mixer as ebay came to my rescue. I bought this 4 station magnetic mixer for $26 bucks. Should be able to have 4 starters going at once. That should help me make plenty of yeast
