Re: tri-clover? anyone?

I like the pics from the guy who maked them. I have a question though, the picture he supplied of the welding looks like it is only welded aroung the outside edge. That should work great for transfering from mash to Kettle. But you may want to get commercial fittings form post boil transfers. Reason being if they are only welded from the outside there is a chance of a seam that bugs or "little dudes" as Doc would say, could hide in there and maybe contaminate your brew.

Or I may just be retarded and overly cautious.

Hammer the welds you see are on the outside of the fitting the inside is smooth no place for bugs to hide

I bought 6 pairs and they are great and only about $27 a set which is far cheaper than any where else. This is his cost for the materials. He is retired and enjoys working on things like this. If anyone is looking to go this direction, I would highly recommend looking at these. The inside seam is probably smaller than any other pipe fitting to tubing connection.

Can you clarify this, Henning? I mean they are either welded on the inside or not. If they are only welded on the outside, then there must be a small gap on the inside - no matter how small. That's where the bugs are going to hang out.
