The 10 gal is starting to make more sense!

I think getting a 10 gallon kettle is setting yourself up for disappointment... for less than a 10 gallon Boilermaker, you could get a 15 gallon "Heavy Duty" pot from B3. (although the Boilermaker has more options included than the Heavy Duty

I guarantee that if you get a 10 gallon pot, you'll be thinking about stepping up to 10 gallon batches sometime in the next 5 years wishing you got the 15 gallon one.

For Blichmann the 10 is a 5 and the 15 is a 10. They give you a lot of headspace.

If you're going for the Blichmann it makes sense to get the 15. Percentage wise, it's not a lot more than the 10, and who knows, the extra capacity might come in handy.

I am going to electrify as soon as I can.
I had another cold brewday, and with 13.75 gallons, I could get a boil, and the top technically rolled a bit, but it was just BARELY enough. ALso, the boiloff rate dropped to about 6.5% I believe.

An element ought to help some. I'd rather do that, since it will be more efficient in the long run, than changing out the burner.

that's a good point. Extract brewers do not need to do more than the length of boil for their hop additions.
